Michael Hutchison is codirector of the Santa Cruz Institute of International Economics and a senior research fellow at the Economic Policy Research Unit at the University of Copenhagen. He has also worked as an economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco and the Bank of International Settlements in Basel, Switzerland. He has been a visiting scholar at the Bank of Japan, the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, and other institutions. His research interests center on international finance, open economies, the Japanese monetary and financial system, and European economic integration. |
